Medical Receptionist Opening
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Typing 40 wpm
- Word Processing/Spreadsheet
- Multiline Telephone skills
- High School Diploma
- Ability to Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
- Must be able to stand for at least 6-7 hours per day.
Essential Functions:

Greet Patients in a professional, pleasant manner.

Scheduling, rescheduling patient visits

Answer multi-line phones, respond directly to patient questions or transfer the call to the appropriate person.

Prepare all required insurance and medical information to ensure all paperwork is in order.

Enter all insurance, medical and demographic information into the EMR
-
Patient confidentiality
-
Give accurate information to patients at all times regarding their appointments, insurance and billing

Answer basic patient account information
-
Maintain accurate Therapist Schedules
-
Maintain accurate Medical Records and respond to Medical Records requests
-
Scanning documents
-
Accurate Filing
-
Check insurance benefits and accurately inform patients regarding insurance coverages
-
Collect copays, deductibles and payments on account.

Help patients understand privacy policy and other office policies.
-
Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA

Operate general office equipment

Job Type: Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
