What to expect From physical Therapy:

  • Upon your initial visit, you will be brought back to a private room. From here, your therapist will conduct the initial evaluation on your specific injury.

    • During the evaluation, you will be asked a variety of questions pertaining to your medical history, pain level and your specific injury.  â€‹

    • Your movement, strength, and coordination may be evaluated. Be sure to keep open communication with your therapist if anything is hurting or bothering you during this process.

    • Your therapist will recommend a plan of care based on their findings. This will be discussed with you.

    • Some treatment may be performed during this initial visit to start you on your road to recovery. However, most treatment is done during your follow-up visits.

    • Please plan for your first visit to last around 1 hour.

  • After your initial visit is finished, it is highly recommended to schedule future follow-up appointments with the front desk. This ensures that you will be seen by your therapist at times that work for you. The amount of therapy you will need will be discussed with you during your initial visit with your therapist.

  • After your visit, your therapist will write up their findings to submit to your referring physician or the provider of your choice.

  • Subsequent follow-up visits will last roughly 40 minutes each, with a possible additional 20 minutes if modalities are needed.
